On Sunday, September 21, 2014 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Oliver N. Garrison, Jr.; mother of Linda G. Moghadam, Patricia G. Drazin, Sharon M., Michael J., John M. and the late Robert N. Garrison; sister of Richard Welch and Pat Cohee; also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Resurrection at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Ft. We are sorry not to be home this weekend, but keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. We never met Mary, but she certainly created some wonderful children!

BEST OLD MEMORY: Linda and I were teenagers & I was spending the night at the Garrison's. It was 1 o'clock in the morning and Linda & I, still awake, heard a crash on Riggs Rd in front of her house. We went outside, and a man was bleeding, so we brought him into the kitchen. Mary Garrison woke up from the noise, came into the kitchen, looked at Linda & I in our redneck rollers, soup cans and toilet paper cardboards, a man bleeding on her kitchen table, and with a deer in the headlights look in her eyes yelled "What is going on here?"
BEST NEW MEMORY: Having a glass of wine with Mary on the boat in Manteo, just weeks ago, eating Wasabi & Soy triscuits and cheese. She had looked forward to the boat ride all week, and it was probably everything she thought it would be.
