MARY ANN VEITH-ADKINS (Age 57)
On Monday, June 19, 2017, of Frederick, MD, originally of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved mother of Mary and Brittany Adkins; daughter of the late Anthony J. and Ann Marie Veith; sister of Tony (Tina), the late Mike (Merc), Pat, the late Ann Marie, Jimmy, Johnny (Debby), Theresa (Don) Montgomery, Billy (Lisa), Catherine (Joe) Whalen, Margaret (Mike) Maher, Danny, Barbara Cassidy, Bridget (Jamie) Wagner, Eileen (Steve) Hoefer, Susie (John) Lively and JoAnn (Ben) Hughes; also survived by loving companion, James Blank along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Duffy Center Chapel, 3630 Quesada Street, NW Washington, DC 20015, on Sunday, June 25, 2 to 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC on Monday, June 26, at 12 p.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Each year that I came to the Kappe-Heil Golf outing in Fredrick, Mary Ann was invariably the first face I would see when I approached the clubhouse. I always could look forward to a warn sincere hug from that tiny little lady. I will miss her and will hold her in my prayers. May God bless all of the family as they go through this trial of saying goodbye to a loved family member.

Mary Ann was a special person who could brighten up my day whenever I saw her. She had a great smile and was fun to hang out with. She was very kind to my family, often bringing us something she had won at the Eagles or VFW. She was always interested in my kids and how everyone was doing. I am heartbroken that she has left us way too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Brittany and the rest of Mary Ann's friends and family. RIP my friend.
