Sr. MARY LIADORE TARUCEWITCH  
Sister Mary Liadore Tarucewitch, 86, of the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters Third Order Regular of St. Francis, died at 8:45 a.m. of natural causes on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at St. Jude Convent, Rockville, MD, where she had resided since 2006. Born in Boston, MA, she was one of six daughters of the late William and Constance (Mikulski) Tarucewitch. Sister is survived by her only living sister, Phyllis Hart of Hyde Park, MA. Sister Mary Liadore entered the Bernardine Order on August 11, 1950 and was in her 65th year of religious life. Sister earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from College of Misericordia, Dallas, PA. She served her ministry in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia as an elementary teacher and a driver. Sister was missioned at the Shrine of St. Jude Parish three separate times, teaching first and second grades. These last seven years at St. Jude, she was "actively" retired and visited the schoolchildren daily. A viewing will be held at Shrine of St. Jude Catholic Church, Rockville, MD on Monday, February 9, at 10 a.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. A viewing will also be held at Sacred Heart Convent Chapel, Reading, PA on Monday, February 9, at 4 p.m., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 10, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters' cemetery, Mt. Alvernia. The Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc. of Reading, PA is in charge of the Pennsylvania arrangements and Francis J. Collins Funeral Home Inc. of Silver Spring, MD is in charge of the Maryland arrangements. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

My heartfelt condolences to my Uncle Dick, Aunt Vi, Chrissy, Michael & children. My last memory of Sister Liadore was at a Christmas family gathering-where she "broke bread" between us all~such a special moment for us all-I will never forget it!! So blessed to have known her for many years; we all loved her. R.I.P. Sister Liadore (Lovingly The Giovo Family-Dom, Renee, Cheryl & Denise) We will miss you dearly, beautiful soul!
