I just heard of her passing today, June 23. I am an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion for St. Martin's Church in Gaithersburg and got to know Mary at the Wilson Center, where I visited monthly. I looked forward to our talks--she has an amazing biography. Her mind remained sharp, as she would remind me of a book I was to get her, which I had forgotten. (She asked for books on Portuguese, German, or Latin to help her retain her knowledge of those languages.) Mary surely brightened and illuminated the world through her family and friends. I am blessed to have known her for the brief time I did.

The world was a better place when she was on it. She lived Christ's teachings by being loving and kind not to just her family and friends, but to strangers and people in need. She will be forever in my heart and has left big shoes for her family to fill, but we will carry on her legacy.

I cant begin to put into words what this woman has done for Me and so many others thru her life the world was a better place for the love Marge had for any and everyone. My family is better from all that she taught me about loving your family above all else.
