On Thursday, May 22, 2014 of Rockville, MD. Beloved mother of Jennifer (Matt) Bjerklie; daughter of Elizabeth J. Abbott; grandmother of Tyler and Kyle Bjerklie. Also survived by many loving family and friends. Memorial Service will be celebrated at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD on Wednesday, May 28, at 11 a.m. Interment private. I am so sorry for the loss of Nancy. When I think of Nancy, I think of kindness, gentleness, strength and a generous heart.
Nancy made a difference in the lives of many. She touched so many people and animals through her volunteering with AWLMC, she was well loved and will always be missed.

Nancy was truly a kind soul and a good friend. She was one of my card playing buddies who met once a month to play & she always brought a wonderful sense of humor. I am really sad that she is no longer with us. I'm sure she is in heaven.

I worked with Nancy at Crestar/Suntrust in Bethesda. I was new to the bank and Nancy was helpful, patient, and funny. When I remember her face she is smiling. I'm sorry for your loss and keep you all in my thoughts.

Jenny, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your mom growing up. She was a sweet and nice lady. I remember her smile and laugh. I also remember her "setting us straight" growing up! Please know she will always be with you in spirit and I am here for you, too.
