On Saturday, October 18, 2014, of Wheaton, MD. Beloved wife for 57 years of the late Nicholas Tzavelis; mother of Helen Granito (Francis) of Crofton, MD and the late Basil Tzavelis; grandmother of Hannah and Francis III. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Tuesday, October 21, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., with prayers at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Service at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church at St. Andrew's, 15100 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Dear Helen:
It saddens me to see the loss of your mother so close to the lose of your father. I will remember them as a great couple. I would always greet them when ever I would see them in church and I was glad that they would always remember me. I also went to school with your brother and I saw you again when Sts. Constantine and Helen had the class reunion before they sold the church. I was with my brother Bill Chakalos.
I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your parents.
I will remember them fondly as I have remembered your brother. May you take comfort that their memory will be eternal.
