OLIVE PEARCE Obituary
OLIVE VERONICA PEARCE (nee Bell) (Age 98)
On Saturday, January 17, 2015, of Rockville, MD. Loving mother of Donald, Patricia, Maureen and Eileen. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, her brother Leonard "Jack" Bell and sister-in-law Rita Bell. Olive was born July 14, 1916 in Boston, MA to Oliver C. and Josephine Morrissey Bell. She was raised in Hyannis Port, MA and later moved to Washington D.C., where she married Donald L. Pearce in 1950. She started working at the Pentagon and then transferred to Walter Reed AFIP (Armed Forces Institute of Pathology) where she had a successful career as a secretary. Mrs. Pearce was a devout Catholic. She lived her life joyously and fully, passing away peacefully at the age of 98. She will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends may call at St. Raphael's Church, Falls Road at Dunster Road, Rockville, MD, Thursday, January 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. My sincerest condolences to the Pearce family. I remember your Mom as always smiling and with decent humor. A true lady. She and my Mom, Mary Amato, were good friends all during St. Jude days and bowled together for years. A good person, who could not have had it easy raising four kids on her own back in the day, but somehow overcame the challenges with her beautiful smiles. In remembrance, may she rest in peace. I remember as a child walking to St. Jude's school with some of Olive's children...Olie as my mom called her was a good friend to my mother. They connected...I remember her happy face and beautiful smile. I am so sorry for your loss of your mother. Mary Amato Farrell
