Very fond memories of going to your home in MONA to play cards, and very much treasured your visit to my University while you checked out Chemistry schools and also our time at Gavin Patterson's wedding in N. Cal.

I endorse all that has been said by my fellow 81ers. Richard was one of the brightest, humblest and most helpful person I have ever met. I have many treasured memories of him at STGC. I wish God's comfort for his sons and other family members

As a new boy to sixth form Richard was an open and welcoming guy who provided quiet and occasional insight that was always valuable even it's light hearted delivery. His mind and broad knowledge was inspiring as was his humility in sharing them. He met all with kindness and a great heart that was hard to hide. Though we were not in contact over the years he remains a life example to me. I will miss his humanity and trust his family, friends and career colleagues will have many great memories of him to be shared over and over. May he rest in peace

Justin and Daniel, after the shock and most if the pain of your lost, you will be left with memories. Know that you dad was well respected, and cared a great deal about you. Go forward and do him proud, remember always the many lessons he taught you. Most importantly, remember the funny times: his favorite song and signers, like ABBA. He now watches over you from a place where his body feels no pain. You have the support of the community of friends Dad has gathered over the years. Do not hesistate to seek out our support.

Richard and family:

I recall with fondness our days at STGC, particularly as we were both members of the 'Spanish Posse' of 12 in the entire year. We would be seen conversing with each other en Espanol, much to the annoyance of many of our peers.

I am glad that I was able to speak with you before you were called to a better place, it was a bit emotional for us both. I pray that the family will be comforted with the passage of time and that your soul will find eternal rest.

My STGC brother and friend you will be sorely missed. You were a stalwart among Georgians, not just for your briliiance, but also for your humility and kindness. Shakespeare wrote, "The good you do lives after you...". You, my friend, will continue to live until the last breath of the last STGC 81er.

I will miss his quick wit, the wisdom of his words, and his generosity beyond measure. He was a giant of a man who will never be forgotten by me.

Richard was the best of classmates at STGC and a great friend for whom I developed great admiration during high school, but even more so as we re-connected later in life in New York and DC. He is gone too soon, but I treasure his memory. To his sons, Justin and Daniel, please take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. May he rest in peace.
