ROBERT FREDERICK HERDTFELDER (Age 82)
On Friday, August 29, 2014, of New Market, MD. Family and friends will gather to celebrate our beloved Rob's life and to honor his kind, humble and loving spirit at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking) Thursday, September 4 from 7 to 9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 5 at 11 a.m. Graveside service and interment with military honors to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. All are welcome to any and all segments of the planned ceremonies. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Montgomery County Unit, 801 Roeder Road, Suite 800, Silver Spring, MD 20910www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Rob was a truly wonderful man. He will be missed by so many people. Ev, I am thinking about you and you know that. I will miss Rob's phone calls during tax season when he always asked for his "bride"! The world is less bright without Rob.
