I directed Bob in his role as King Arthur in Camelot for the American Light Opera Company in Washington, DC (and in lead roles in several other shows including Finian's Rainbow and Show Boat). He came to rehearsals well prepared professionally: script memorized, music learned, and his make-up planned! He could be prickly, as a true pefectionist, but he knew what he was doing and could command a stage and mesmerize an audience! May he now be singing solo with angelic choirs! God bless him!

Dear Frankfurt family and friends,

I am so sorry for your/our loss. Bob was a very dear friend to me so many years ago in The American Light Opera Company in DC. I'm sure you've all heard his tales of derring-do in ALOC. When the Company went out of business I lost track of him but the memories are strong and so full of fun. He was truly an "Original".

I'm so happy to see what a wonderful life he had.

our condolences for the loss of Bob Frankfurt. We know him from the
American Light Opera
Company many decades ago. We will always remember Capt. Big Jim Warington.

Willie, Tommy and Family,
I'm so sorry to hear the news about the passing of your dad. I have such fond memories of growing up next door to you. I really enjoyed hearing your dad sing all the time, as well as going to the plays with your family. My prayers are with your family at this time. Take care and lots of love.
