On Friday, September 25, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn Reitzel Bensel; father of Barbara (Stuart) Lawson and Brian Bensel; grandfather of Christopher, Kathleen and Cynthia Lawson. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Bob was my friend and mentor at Peoples drug store Wheaton Plaza starting in 1965 we golfed together and I carry a coin in my pocket to this day that he gave me I think to a golf ball machine so that I can always think of him when I change to a new pair of pants.
