Rod was Secretary as I began my role in ACS governance. He was a sure guide to me and many and was a fine gentleman. He is missed.

Rod was always the consummate gentleman. I witnessed him as a participant in one particularly contentious negotiation and he was one of the few calm lucid persons at the table. He always found the good in people, kept track of countless details of ACS governance, seldom spoke but when he did it was always to raise some new point others had neglected to consider. We'll long remember his kind wisdom.

Dear Lottie & family: My thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always remember Hader as a committed Christian at St. Luke and a great friend to my parents and family. With love, Pastor Bruce J. Burkness

So sorry for your loss. The span of our life is 70 years, Or 80 if one is especially strong. Yet, God promises more - living forever here on earth.

Rod Hader was the person at the ACS who employed me at the Society when he was executive assistant to the director of publications. I always admired and respected him both as a person and as a boss. He launched me on a 31-year career with ACS.
