On Saturday, August 1, 2015, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Marjorie Covell Johnson; father of Marilyn R. Johnson (David W. Bostrom), Russell D. Johnson, III, Paul A. Johnson, and the late Alexander W. Johnson; daughters-in-law Katrina Ulrich, and Peggi Johnson Bell; grandfather of Cecilia Johnson-Ulrich, Zoe Johnson-Ulrich, Lily Johnson-Ulrich, Danielle Johnson, and Andrew M. J. Bostrom; brother of Ruth M. (Ken) Schaefer and the late E. Ann Scott. Thanks so much, Mr. Farrell. We had some pictures from a retirement party (much later than this) with people we couldn't identify. Do you remember the name of his secretary for years?

I met Russ in 1973 when I joined ORI as Direction of Administration and worked with him for many years. His intellectual side kick and friend Dr. Sam Kneale were roommates. Russ was the ultimate professional as he went about solving highly complex analytical problems. Always a nice and gentle person. All the best wishes to the Johnson family.
