For days I have been trying to find the words, not that they are hard to find, but there are so many. First let me say my deepest condolence to all of the family. The world has lost such a special person and soul. I can remember growing up and being so excited when "Dog" came to visit Spartanburg and even as an adult being just as excited. Growing up he was my uncle and as I got older a very wise person in my life. Dog was always a rock for anyone that he cared for and loved. He was a rock for my mom and I when we lost my dad. (Slugo) and I am sure they have had one heck of a reunion. Dog helped mold me into the person I am now even if he wasn't aware. I can't put words into how much me meant to me and how much I love him and will miss him. I will miss the hugs that were larger than life and so strong (that's where he seemed so invincible) and the phone calls (that were most of the time lengthy but I would give anything for just one more) the first thing was Hey pretty girl. I am so thankful that I was able to visit him a year ago on a work trip and get one of those larger than life hugs. I am sad that there wasn't another visit. Dog was someone that was always there, who always had words of wisdom, heartfelt words at just the right time. I know that one day I will see him again and I know that when I do he will be waiting with a smile, a hug, and more love than ever. Until then I know he is no pain, he is reuniting with all that left before him. Someone said to me on December 31 2020.. the next time we hear thunder in the clouds it's all of those motors cranking up for a glorious ride and to say hey I am ok. Thank you Dog for being a part of my family, for all of our talks, for all of your wisdom, for the stand-ins as a dad when I lost mine, for just being you. Unforgettable, invincible, tough as steal with a heart of gold. There is most definitely an empty hole in my heart. I love you and when I see you again I expect a ride through the clouds. And will all of that it still seems so unreal and still so many more words and memories I will always cherish.

To the Hagan Family,

We, your friends at the NRC, were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your father, Thomas P. Hagan, Sr. When we lose someone we love, it seems like time stands still. We hope you take comfort in the scriptures John 14:1-3, which tell us to “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

Praying that the joyful memories that you shared with your beloved provide comfort during this time and in the future.

Dad's Love Remains

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
Far as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

We will keep your family lifted in prayer.

Bones will be missed and our grandson loved waving to him and Yelling at him when he'd get the mail "Hi Bones how are you feeling". He was a kind and good neighbor and he will be missed. We hope one of his grandsons Noah remembers what a nice grandfather he had. We will miss his smile and friendly hello wave as he'd drive by each day! May he rest in peace and his family remember him kindly as we do.
