Virginia Lee Burch (Age 89)
On Sunday, June 26, 2016, of Olney, MD. Beloved wife of the late John K. Burch, Sr.; mother of John Kenneth, Jr., James Edward and Robert Michael Burch and Janet Marie Yankanich; sister of Pat Hugler, Marty Peifer and the late Chuck Kiger and Jean Thompson; grandmother of Katie, Amanda, Sara, Michael, Matthew and the late Ryan; great-grandmother of Aleida and Opal. Relatives and friends may call at St. Peter''s Church, 2900 Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Friday, July 1, from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. My condolences on the loss of your Mom.
My Mom, Virginia Rosick, was good friends with Ginger through SCL, Good Counsel and so many activities. Ginger touched our hearts by joining our family in celebrating Dad at his memorial service 3 years ago.
Mom is unable to speak or convey her thoughts, but I send them for her with my love and prayers that your memories will give you comfort.

Ginger was such a special lady. She was so wonderful to my mother, Frances Beans, and I loved her very much. They had such great memories with the dinner club and ladies lunches. My mom nicknamed her "the saint". Heaven is a better place with Ginger there!!! Rest in Peace my friend.

The Burch family are in my thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Burch was a wonderful person and I will remember her smile. My Mother was blessed to have 'Ginger' as her very good friend in their later years. What a grand smile she always had on her face. I didn't see her much except at GC dances but I always said hi and she knew who I was. How could she remember all of us SCL kids was amazing. May our Lord's peace continue to surround her and her family.

I have tremendously warm, fond memories of the entire Burch family. Our parents, the Raffertys and the Burchs, were great friends through St. Catherine Laboure and our neighborhood encompassing Claridge Rd, Milton, Medway and so many other wonderful streets. Their friendships spanned over five decades!
I so appreciate the many calls your mother Ginger and I have share during these last two decades since my mother Dorothy's passing. Ginger was constantly checking up on me during my many medical procedures including my heart transplant 2 1/2 years ago. I was so blessed to share your mother's constant watchful eye and enjoyed sharing many stories together about our loved ones. She greatly loved each of you: her husband, her children, her in-laws,her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I am so sorry for the grief you experience now but know you will grow to smile as you remember and share her beautiful smile and spirit with each other. As my dear friend Barry said the other day, "Ginger was the Good Counsel's unofficial morale officer during my tenure there!" Amen to that. She now shares all of eternity with our dear Lord and her precious husband, your dad. "Well done,my good and faithful servant. My love and prayers are with each of you.
