WILLIAM F. McLAUGHLIN "Bill" (Age 70)
On Tuesday, May 23, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD, originally of Turkey Thicket, DC. Beloved husband of Rita Lawrence McLaughlin; brother of John J. McLaughlin, Jr., Patricia DeFino, Mary Yourishin and Catherine Wittenberger. Also survived by 27 nieces and nephews, along with numerous extended family and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, (Valet Parking), on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette's Church, 72 University Blvd. East, Silver Spring, MD, on Saturday, May 27, 10:30 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Bill was the life of the party, when large groups of his friends would travel to Greece and Spain. We were able to get a large number to travel, because of cheap charter flights. Most fun I ever had in my life. Sorry, it ended.

Dear Rita and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were childhood friends and he will be missed by the entire Grzeskiewicz family. It was so touching to see the Turkey Thicket and St. Anthony references. Bill loved both dearly. I am recovering from foot/ankle surgery and can't walk on it yet so sadly I
will not be able to attend the viewing or Mass.
Rita, please know that Bill will be missed by his Turkey Thicket family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. God bless.

Rita, I am so shocked and sad to hear about Mac. He had a warm sense of humor and a memory like an elephant. His recall of my family members and our life events was impressive. I will miss all of that and occasionally running into him at the library or other White Oak places. We are out of town for another funeral so I will miss you this weekend. I hope your years of making memories together will comfort you during this sad time.
