Gerry Kaler was essentially my brother-in-law, even though my wonderful sister Cindy was not married to him, he was a wonderful man to her & he took great care of her for many years. I know that he loved her very much, as she did him. My only regret is that there was always to much distance between us, since we are all in Texas & we just never got to see him very often. I wish there had been more times for us to be together because when we were he always made you feel as though you were just as close as could be & would laugh & joke with you just as though it were a daily occurrence. I hope that all of his family, whom I have never had a chance to meet personally, will continue to move forward & remember him as the great man he was & feel comforted by & cherish all the great memories that each & everyone of you have with him. I wish my sister Cindy, Nephew Samuel & his wife Christina & young Mason all the same as well. I love you all & am thinking of you constantly as these days pass. Take care.

I first met Gerald in Cincinnati at the Famous Recipe offices in the 70's. The thing I was always impressed with when I saw him was what a gentleman he was. It was an honor to have known Gerald.
