As a ministry volunteer it was a privilege to know Bertha. She was an interesting lady, very kind and compassionate. Jess Wakefield, Covenant Community Presbyterian Church
I am a volunteer at Marywood and Bertha was always fun to be around--she had stories to tell and was so proud of her family. She was so looking forward to turning 102. May she rest in peace.
I - we, all loved Bert dearly. The tales she told from "birthday balloons" to bus driving, to writing her own story, to a new knee, to great grandchildren were remarkable and fun to listen to. She amazed everyone with the amount of book reading she did....she was a wonderful, fun lady.

I am a volunteer at Marywood and got to know Bertha. She was a joy to be around. Loved to have her in my reading group and when I played the violin. She will be deeply missed,
As a music volunteer at Marywood, I will always remember Bertha for her exclamation "We are now 5 generations..." She was so proud of her family. God bless you all.
Bertha was a very caring and loving human being. She will be missed especially at the sheepshead card playing table. Bertha could count faster than anyone.
