Beck, Myron "Mike" E.
Mike 91 passed away peacefully on Sunday December 22, 2013. He was born in the Town of Mayville, Clark Co., WI on October 26, 1922 to Albert and Caroline (Hutter) Beck. Mike was a graduate of Dorchester High School where he was awarded the American Legion Certificate and Bronze Medal for outstanding qualities of character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Upon his graduation he proudly served his country in the Philippines during WWII. Mike also enjoyed many years of membership in the Knights of Columbus and American Legion organizations.
On January 14, 1948 Mike married Alice Mae Alexander. They enjoyed 47 wonderful years in Wisconsin and later on the gulf coast of Florida until Alice's death in 1995. Together they raised four children, Carol (Steve) Niehaus of Rothschild, WI, Mary (Tom) Cappola of Mesa, AZ, Bob (Melody) Beck of Athens, and Jerry (Nelwyn) Beck of Louisiana.
Mike was a loving husband, father, and friend to all. He dedicated his life to God and his family. Mike will be remembered for his incredible work ethic and integrity. Whether working under the hood of a car or RV, tinkering in his garage, or digging in his garden Mike always had a warm friendly smile.
His legacy continues through his four surviving children, six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Mike is also survived by his brother Jim (Bernice) Beck of Stevens Point, sister Betty Marolt of Aspen, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Albert and Tony, and sisters Beulah Poski and Caroline Hazen.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Stone Crest for providing care to Mike over the last few years. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Aspirus Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
Services will be held in the spring of 2014.

As long as I remember, I have fond memories of camping with Mike and the Beck family. It makes me sad to hear he has left this earth but happy he has joined my parents in heaven. God bless the Beck family. Sincerely, Geri Lynn
