Terry Bucan Obituary
Terry L. Bucan DO, FACEP, 59, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.She was born June 25, 1957 in Salina, KS, the daughter of Donald Bodelin and the late Mary (Piper) Bodelin. Terry is survived by her husband Fred, son Mitchell of New London, daughter Casey of Madison, father Donald of Kingsford, sister Janise (Barry) Webb of O'Fallon, MO, brothers Dennis of Menasha and Jim of Neenah, nephew Nicholas Bodelin of Neenah, niece Kelly (Dan) Webb-Midden of Brentwood, MO, and great nephew and niece, August and Dorothy Midden.
Terry graduated from Iron Mountain High School. She attended Michigan Technological University for her undergraduate degree followed by Medical School at Michigan State University. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine in 1988 at Botsford General Hospitalin Detroit, MI. Terry began her career in South Carolina.After Mitchell and Casey were born, she wanted to be closer to family so moved to Marinette and provided emergency care at the county hospital. She then transitioned to urgent care in the Wausau area. She became interested in Aesthetic Medicine when she realized she had no intentions of aging gracefully. Terry dedicated herself to learning a new specialty to help others look and feel their best. It became her passion. Sheopened Dermarenew, a practice of Medical Cosmetic Care, in 2006. While establishing this practice she continued to provide emergency care for Ministry Health.

Terry loved to learn and to teach. She was generous and talented in so many ways. One of her natural gifts was the ability to create warm and beautiful spaces. Her homes and offices always expressed a beauty and sophistication only she could create.
Terry dedicated her life to healing the sick and wounded,and caring for others.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 8th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon on Monday at the funeral home. Chaplain Ellyn Becker will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Caring House in Iron Mountain.

Terry was a warm loving, sensitive, and thoughtful person. I respected her greatly as a friend. Our discussions were quiet and enriching. We helped each other understand life, God, and our place in the world. I will miss her terribly.

My heart is so sad at the loss of a very precious friend. I will never forget the day I met Terry and immediately felt a close bond of friendship with her. The times that we were able to meet and chat were always filled with a time of closeness that made me feel like we were friends for decades. I will miss Terry greatly and look forward to the day we see each other again in heaven!

Trying to expressive my sadness over the news of Terry's passing has been difficult. I was honored to call her my friend and even more honored when she called me hers. She had this light about her that made people feel at ease and safe. She was a gentle soul and we all will be feeling her loss deeply..

As one of her newer clients, when I first met Terry at the clinic I appreciated not only Terry's gifts and expertise as a professional, but also her warm, magnanimous way of making her patients feel at ease. Her generous nature, whip-smart sense of humor, and far-ranging knowledge and intellect made each visit a delight for me and though I only had a few short months to get to know her, the world she created in her lovely office at Dermarenew - from the ambiance and client-centered focus to the excellent services and the always smiling staff - made me feel like a treasured friend and made my world a happier place.
