Waylon, you have always been a part of my life and my heart. I have loved you since I was 2 years old. I had your 8track then and I would fight with my parents to let me listen to you everywhere we went in our lincoln. I will never forget your kindness when you let me come meet your wife and Uncle Jessie. You have always had a big heart and thank you for giving me a piece of it. I love you Waylon and will miss you dearly. I am very sorry for your loss Jessie. My love to you and your children.
Long time fan...before...now...and forever.

As a major entertainment buyer and tv host, I worked with Waylon on several occasions and found him to be entertaining and enlightening, not to mention somewhat crusty. He was a dynamic force to be reckoned with and one of the truly greats of country music. You'll be missed, Waylon, by all of us who knew you and loved you.

I seen Waylon the first time at the old Flame Cafe on Nicollet Aveue back when we were both kids almost---His music and stories have been a part of my life ever since. I hope to see every one of his albums made available on CD's for the world to enjoy as I have. Men like Waylon never go away---they're always close by---somewhere.
