Dear Jamie, Scott and Jason,
I ran into your mom recently I think around Thanksgiving or Christmas and we chatted for a few minutes. I felt so lucky to have seen her and talked with her about all the junior high and high school antics that all of us participated in because we were only headed towards being real adults!!! I was able to tell her how much it meant to me to be able to hang out with our gangs and have a real blast at your house back then. I not only admired her but was thankful for her version of life in general and how strong she was! She was also almost like a mom to me in so many ways and I'm grateful to have had her in my life as and the rest of the family too! Her fruit fermenting in her crystal bowl is something I'll never forget especially the first time I ever tried it and how Jamie and I laughed with her st my expressions as I said whoa!!! Someone could get kinda drunk on this fruit! And I loved it every year after especially around the holidays as she would offer it! I loved her a lot and I am sorry that I was unable to attend her services today but I did want you all to know that she sure was a very special lady and friend and I wanted to thank you especially Jamie for letting me share in your family and for a friendship I feel is very much still in my heart with all those great times we had and I loved the little bit of entertainment we all could enjoy while hanging out at your house. My prayers are with all of you and your families and know that although I was unable to attend that it's been on my mind today because I also am missing all of you and reconnecting with you Jamie for sure. John Workman has my information for phone numbers and address is still the same for the last thirty five years so after you get settled down please give me a call or text or even message me?
I'd love to hear from you to know how you're doing. Love you all very much, Mart/ Marty/ Martha

Yes, I too will miss Alice on Thursdays at the Ridge. Vicki is right, she did have a smile and a friendly hello for all her buddies.
So fortunate she was to have the love and support of her family these last ten months. Such a brave and strong woman she was. Wishing you all peace in the days ahead. Ellie Messier
