My our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave everlasting comfort and good hope by means of undeserved kindness comfort your hearts and make you firm in every good deed and word.

I was so proud of Barbara as I watched and photographed her when she was paraded through the streets of Ottawa after one of her skating titles. I have one of her passing the National War Memorial and I've kept a copy of her Life Magazine cover picture.

Barbara, Our family feels a true loss. We grieve with your amazing husband. Makenzie is going to miss seeing you at church every week with her grandmother. You and your husband always dressed your very best and looking like a King and Queen. You will be missed so very much. You were so very famous but treated every person as if they were a close friend. You never acted as if you were above anyone else. You loved God and your husband so much. I know he misses you terribly as my family does. I feel honored just to have met you and I thank you for being so kind to my daughter. She loved seeing your gold medal, your outfits & the Barbara Ann Doll the most. We're still trying to find her a doll but they're hard to come by. We miss you Mrs. Barbara Ann.
Love, Mary Kay, Amanda & Makenzie
