I just saw this and I am so sorry for your loss. Owen was very generous with his time and a great help to me when I was researching an article on the Marcellus. He will be missed.

Oh Kris, I just learned of Owen's passing. I am so sorry for you and your family. He was such a wonderful person and I am so grateful that I got to see you both agaIn last spring. If you could ever use a little get away to the midwest, my door is always open. Keeping you and your kids in my thoughts and prayers.

Owen Charles Frederick was an example of the most strongly minded people I ever knew. Proudly Someone we could all model ourselves after, and be successful in life, in every way. With The love and strength of his wife Kris, his 3 young daughters and his son, he lived longer than any one imagined, considering the terrible and rare blood disease he had. Most people when diagnosed with this, doesn't make it past 3 years. He made it 5x longer than that. He lives in our hearts and in our thoughts forever. I love you Uncle Owen, It was an honor.
