FRIENDSHIP - Donna M. Jordan, of 8044 Stewart Road, passed away December 13, 2017 at her home, after a long illness.
Born August 13, 1945 in Olean, she was the daughter of Arthur and Harriett Barrett Bean. On August 20, 1966 at the Bell Run Union Church in Shinglehouse, PA, she married James Jordan, who survives.
Mrs. Jordan received her associates degree from Jamestown Community College in Olean. She worked for the former Acme Electric in Allegany, American Awning in Eldred, PA, JoAnn Fabrics in Olean, Trinity United Methodist Church daycare in Olean, and the former Westons Craft Shop.
Mrs. Jordan was a former member of the Faith Bible Church in Little Genesee. She was an amazing seamstress and loved sewing, and gardening. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Ted (Charmaine) Jordan of Olean, and Colista (Tim) Ford of Shinglehouse, PA; three grandchildren, Brooklyn Ford, Heather and Aric Jordan; five siblings, Tom (Betty) Bean of Shinglehouse, PA, Dale (Janice) Bean of Ceres, NY, Linda (Philip) Skiver of Shinglehouse, PA, Monica (Chris) O'Brien of Salamanca, Chuck (Nicole) Bean of Eldred, PA; one sister-in-law, Susan (Kirby) Jones of Wellsville; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, 1303 E. State Street, on Sunday (December 17, 2017) from 1-3 p.m. at which time funeral services will begin. Rev. David Cook, pastor of Obi Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery in Obi at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
