Dear Nadine,

I am so sorry for your loss, and my heart and prayers are with you and the children. Brian is still with you all, and always will be. In your heart, your mind and your memories. It is sadly true that your lives will never be the same again, but that doesn't mean it won't be good. Hold fast to your faith in God and His plan for you all. Take comfort in the strength of your friends and family. Reach out and we will help you. You are loved. Missy

Brian was definitely one of a kind.
To me, he was that friend that if you hadn't seen him in awhile when you did you picked up right where you left off.
I first met him in 1991. He came into my life and I knew God had blessed me with a great friend.
Please indulge me and let me tell you just 1 story about Brian. Picking the right one is difficult because there are quite a bit I could tell.
Brian, myself, and 4 other guys took a 5 day ski trip to Breckenridge. The first night we are there we go to a restaurant that was once an old house. We all order drinks and food. While we are having cocktails Brian announces to everyone that he can levitate. By this time I have known him for 8 years and never seen him levitate. Of course, I call BS and bet him $20 bucks he can't levitate. He is insistent he can so the other 4 guys each bet him $20.00 bucks a piece. Brian says okay but he must have complete silence to be able to do it. Now there are 2 other tables in the restaurant with 4 people at 1 table and 2 people at the other. I go over to them and tell them what is going on and ask for complete silence so Brian can levitate. All 6 of them agree to it if they can get in on the bet. Brian accepts the bet. I ask Brian if he has $220.00 cash with him and if he wants to back out. Brian dismisses me. By now the manager notices something is going on and comes over to us. I explain that our friend has bet all the patrons $20.00 in the restaurant that he can levitate. However, he must have complete silence. She goes in the back of the restaurant and comes back out with 2 waitress and 2 cooks so he can have complete silence. But now the restaurant staff wants in on the bet. Brian with that smile he has that says "I know something you don't" accepts. So now he is up to $300.00. Now remember I have known him for 8 years and he never had mentioned his ability to levitate. So Brian goes over to the corner of the restaurant, kicked off his shoes, faced everyone and took several deep breaths, turns around, and then stands up on his tip toes and I kid you not all the sudden his entire feet appear to be about 6 inches off the ground. He held it like that for 30 seconds or so.
When he was done the restaurant broke out in applause.
As time went by I asked him to do it again on occasion and he always said it took to much out of him.
I am going to miss him, but I know he is watching over us all.

So sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I went to jr high and part of high school with Brian and Ben in Quincy. Enjoyed them so much. I had been wondering where they ended up. Then I saw this so very sad. My prayers are with the family.
