I am saddened to hear of the passing of an old friend. I have many memories of Uncle Harold during my younger years. My first memories were when I was very young and Harold was chasing Donna and me across a gravel yard without his shoes. I do not remember why he was chasing us but it must have been something that Donna did, not me. I remember installing his license plates on his car when I was 14 and he was so appreciative, until someone told him that his plates were on upside down. I remember him holding my daughter on his lap at the South Side. I remember going off to war and Harold looking into my eyes and saying "keep your head down Pinky". We mourn our loss but the angels in heaven are enjoying his laughter and smile.
