QUINCY -- Margaret Jane Gilbert, 95, of St. Vincent's Home, died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1921, in Quincy, a daughter of John and Agnes (White) Treifenbach. She first married Floyd Schroeder and later married Henry Gilbert. Both preceded her in death. Margaret was a homemaker and dental assistant for many years. She liked gardening, especially her flowers, ceramic crafting and cooking. Margaret was a member of the Kennel Club and Women's Christian Club. She is survived by one son, Gary (Jackie) Schroeder; two step-grandchildren, Jack (Katz) Fessler of the Philippines and Carmen (Matt) Wilhelm of Madison, Wis.; and three step-great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and a sister, JoAnn May. SERVICES: 2 p.m. Friday, April 7, in Woodland Cemetery.
