Pia Frances Pete Patete, 97, died peacefully at home on September 18, 2015 from natural causes, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Alexander J. Sandy Patete, who died in 1992. A daughter of the late Francesco P. and Pia (Chiapucci) Brunelli, born May 27 1918, she was a lifelong Franklin resident, 1936 graduate of Franklin High School, a communicant of St. Marys Church, and past member of the Catholic Womens Club. She was a past Pocahontas with the Improved Order of Red Men Wonewok Tribe Franklin. Pia grew up working in the family business, Brunellis Grocery & Bakery on Alpine Place, followed by Brunellis Clark Square Diner, & Brunellis Supermarkets. Survivors include her daughters: Sandra (and Richard) Depoto of Franklin, and Christine (and Stephen) Montana of CA. Her grandsons: Marc (and Carolyn Hale) Depoto of Franklin, Christopher (and Carolyn Spensley) Depoto of Bellingham, and Nicholas (and Leily Vassigh) Montana of CA. Her great-grand children: Lily and Dante Depoto of Franklin, Kyleigh, Lukas and Sophie Depoto of Bellingham and Aiden Montana of CA. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Vincent DeSanctis, sister-in-law Natalie Brunelli (both of Franklin), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by sisters Livia Brunelli and Elizabeth DeSanctis, brothers Alfred, Guido, Frank, Nelsi, and John Brunelli, and sister-in-law Violet (Guisti) Brunelli who lived with Pias family for years, all of Franklin. Calling hours at the Oteri Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., are Tuesday September 22nd from 5-8 PM. Her funeral service at the Oteri Funeral Home will be held Wednesday September 23 at 9 AM, with a funeral Mass at 10 AM from St. Marys Church, 1 Church Square Franklin. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Friends of Franklin, Corbin Street Franklin. Guestbook/directions www.oterifuneralhome.com.

Pia was such a lovely lady. I enjoyed seeing her at the Senior Center
during lunch. She was always happy and smiling.May God bless her and keep her close. Sandra you are just like her. She had a good long life.
