I vividly recall asking Edith if she wanted to spend a weekend in Helsinki, Finland perhaps in 1981 or so. There was an advt. in the WSJ that all expenses, air, hotel and meals, would be paid by FinAir. She agreed to accompany me and we left on Thurs. night. We enjoyed a music concert, went on a bus tour of the area and saw an underground church!

We left on Sunday and were back at work on Monday. I bought several Russian made cups and saucers (later in Moscow bought more along w/a teapot), a white fur hat and 2 bottles of Finish liqueur. We had a great time.

I visited her several times in Exeter and tried to call her about 2 months ago. Although someone answered, she did not speak or recognize my name, I guess.

I also lived in Robbins Park for 6 yrs. and we went to LWV mtgs. together. Edith was a very good committee member and LWV President, She enjoyed her associations.

Sorry we did not connect earlier. My condolences to her family.
