Christopher Keane of Bridgewater died Feb. 12, 2013, at the age of 62, from pancreatic cancer. Chris was the loving son of the late Gerald and Helen (Morrissey) Keane and grew up in Rockland. He was a graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 69. He worked for Tedeschis Food shops for over 35 years and was currently still employed. He loved working and he considered his co-workers friends, often times playing golf after work. Chris was happiest when helping others. Chris married Janet on Aug. 31, 1974, and the two raised their family in Bridgewater. Chris lived for his wife, kids, and grandkids. He was the devoted husband of the Janet A. (Welsh) Keane of Bridgewater; and loving father of Brian C. Keane and his wife Kelly of Connecticut, Patrick J. Keane and his wife Jaime of South Carolina, and Courtney E. Kogler and her husband Justin of Marion; Grampa-Bumpa to Connor, Nolan, Logan, Brennan, Hunter, Declan, Colin, and Olivia; loving brother of Ellen and her husband Thomas Buckley of Maine and Jay Keane of Kentucky; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Mass of Christian burial was held Feb. 16, at 9 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater. Burial will be private. Visitation was Friday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
