Patricia A. Condon, age 88 of Bridgewater, died Friday April 27, 2012 at Life Care of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Condon, Sr.. Patricia was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Margaret Alice (Sullivan) and J. Albert Sullivan, a longtime City Clerk for the City of Brockton. Mrs. Condon had lived in Bridgewater for the past eight years and previously lived in Marston Mills for 23 years and Gardiner, Maine for 22 years. Mrs. Condon was a graduate of Brockton High School in 1942 and Simmons College in 1946. For a short time she was a reporter for WBET radio in Brockton and later worked for Millimeter Magazine. She had been a member of the Simmons Alumni Association and was a volunteer for the Charity Guild in Brockton and Catholic Charities of Cape Cod. She was an avid reader and kept current with politics and government and was a faithful fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Patriots, the Bruins, and Wisconsin Badgers. Mrs. Condon will be remembered as a beautiful and confident lady who impeccably lived life with dignity and humor. Her true joy in life was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Condon was the devoted mother of John A. Condon and his wife Brooke of Bridgewater, MA; Robert P. Condon, Jr. and his wife Flo of Sarasota, FL; Mark R. Condon and his wife Mary Lou of Madison, WI; Ellen C. Hilt and her husband David of Gardiner, ME; Kevin J. Condon of Truro, husband of the late Deborah; Shane M. Condon and his wife Karen of Gardiner, ME and the late Christopher J. Condon husband of Carolyn of Winthrop, ME. She was the grandmother of Melissa, Brett, Caitlin, Gretchen, Alison, Sean, Kate, Patricia, Robert, Mary, Ryan, John, Bryan, Kelsie, Christopher and Andrew. She also leaves six great-grandchildren and eight nieces and nephews. Visiting hours was held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123), Brockton, Tuesday, May 1, from 4 - 8 p.m. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday, May 2, at 8 a.m. for a Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater at 9 a.m. Burial Mass.
