10/25/18 | 9/19/14 James W. Beardsley (Jim), 95 years old, of Eastham, MA, (formally of Massapequa Park, New York) passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Jim is survived by his wife Adele, three sons, Robert, Richard, and George, 91 year old brother William Beardsley, late brother Donald Beardsley, four grandchildren Dawn ORourke, Eve Beardsley Rubino, Greg Beardsley and Chris Beardsley, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27th at the United Methodist Church of Eastham, 3200 State Highway, Eastham, MA 02642. A coffee and pastry reception will take place in the Church Hall following the service. Jim was born in Brooklyn, NY on 10-25-18. Jim served in World War II as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Armys 159th service company. He was honorably discharged on 10/16/45. Jim worked as the Supervisor of New England Operations for the Commercial Union Insurance Company, Park Avenue, New York for more than 35 years. He also held the title of Assistant to the Metropolitan New York Department Manager. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660.
