On behalf of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity I'd like to extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Brother Charles F. Ferranti, Boston University - MA Gamma chapter, class of 1952.

First I was a customer of F&D, then an employee, both Charlie and Tony were always willing to give a kid from the inner city a break. The Square has lost an icon. My very best wishes to all of the family.

My sincerest condolences to the Ferranti family. They were a part of my life in Concord for many years, and he was of immense help to me when I was at WGBH, thru F&D. A great loss.

Charlie bought me an ice cream cone on my very first day of work at F&D. I was 17 years old and away from home for the first time. It was a small but kind gesture that has always stayed with me. And then many years later on my last day at F&D, after I had finally managed to graduate from college and launch a "real" career, he pulled me aside and told mw how proud of me he was, and every time I saw him after that he never failed to tell me how happy he was for me. Deepest condolences to the Ferranti family on Charlie's passing; I hope you find comfort in knowing how may lives he touched.
