Dear friends of Joyce Yanchar Brinner,
Joyce was my neighbor and friend for many years in Concord Massachusetts. I remember a beautiful, crisp spring day in the late 1980s, the first time I introduced myself to her at her home in Concord Massachusetts. I was struck by her willowy and graceful way as we toured her new home. She told me a little bit about herself, her family and her beautiful wedding day. I especially remember Joyce pointing out her art collection - the theme of a few paintings being mother and child. She so loved children. She brought to many neighborhood gatherings, her light, elegance, warmth, sense of humor and sincerity. Joyce had a beautiful mind, a heart of gold and a generous spirit. She never once complained about illness or pain. Not once. She was all about family and love and giving to everybody else. I am so grateful to her for staying in touch with me even though we had moved apart. She was truly a "one in a million" human being - a gem, a true and loyal friend, a woman of strength, courage and substance - a blessing to all who all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear friend.

Joyce was one in a million. I have never witnessed a more positive and selfless person. Love and warmth exuded from her very being. She will be missed greatly by many...I considered Joyce my corageous friend.
