For some reason, I decided to look into the past tonight and specifically searched to find out about my wonderful French professor. Ma Soeur, Rosenda Gill. She was a stand-out teacher and unforgettable person. She truly brought the beauty of the French language to light in her classroom while I was a student at Regis from 1979 - 1981. I can still her voice to this day! My very best memory is of her class in French phonetics; certainly the hardest class I have ever taken. Blood, sweat and lots of tears but I was so proud to receive an honorable mention in the oral presentation contest. Ironically, I became a Speech-Language Pathologist; and that phonetics training has served me well in my career.

Merci Ma Soeur!

May she rest in peace with the angels.

I had Sister Rosenda ,CSJ in French at St.Thomas Aquinas High, when she was in her first year, she came up to me and said in my ear, she was my Aunts best friend. My aunt was also a Nun. She said I was just like her.I loved her, I could do no wrong. Still don't know how to speak French.
Rip Sister Rosenda, Your Class loved you.

My fondest memory of Ma Soeur Rosenda was her breezing into the room, ordering "Ouvrez la fenetre", conducting the entire first class in French and leaving the group bewildered. Her enthusiasm was contagious, even if we didn't have a clue what she was saying.
