Thomas V. Aucoin, 70, of South- borough, died on Monday April 14, 2014. He was the husband of Ann E. (Cournoyer) Aucoin. They had been married for the past forty-three years. Born in Natick and raised in Saxonville, he was the son of the late Thomas P. and Loretta J. (Bouret) Aucoin and had been a resident of Southborough for the past forty years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a communications technician with the New England Telephone Company for twenty-nine years. Tom was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1961, where he was a member of the Framingham High School 1961 State Championship Hockey Team. He served with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and was a longtime member of the American Legion Post # 77 in Ashland, where he was chaplain and president of the Board of Directors. In addition, he was a longtime social member of the Columbus Club in Framingham. He loved playing golf, cooking and in particular spending time at his summer home on Sebago Lake. Besides his wife, he is survived by three brothers. Edward Aucoin and his wife Janice of Waltham, David Aucoin and his wife Donna of Ashland and Raymond Aucoin of Orange; three sisters, Bernadette Carey and her husband Glenn of Nova Scotia, Regina Dubowik and her husband Steven of Worcester and Helene Aucoin and husband Ibrahim Skanderani of Framingham; a sister-in-law, Patricia DeGroot of Michigan; a brother-in-law, James Cournoyer and his wife Cheryl of Holden and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2014 with a Blessing a 9:00 a.m. in St. Georges Church, 74 School Street, Framingham (Saxonville). Committal services and burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Calling hours at the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham will be on Wednesday April 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Toms Memory may be made to the DAV of your choice.

I, like so many others, have many years of great memories of Tom. Whether in school or over the years he had the ability to always make you laugh and he made you feel that he was happy to see you whenever you saw him. He will be missed by me and so many others.
