I'm sorry that I didn't see this sooner, but he was the greatest mentor that I've ever had in my life and the reason that I'm still in the automotive business 20+ years after working for him in the early 90's at Meineke. I will never forget what you gave to me. Until we meet again, my friend

Joey
I was always so proud of you. When anyone told me they knew Joe Gryboski I would say “You know Joey – he’s my nephew.” The first time I called your Meineke shop the phone was answered with “good morning, how can we help you today”. And that is what you always did – help people.

A few of my memories of you
you helping Nancy buy her first car when she started working. Of course, it was a sporty Mustang that she loved.

you giving Kenny rolls of quarters and a radar detector as he headed cross-country to find a job on the west coast.

you telling me how to bargain when buying a new car and then going with me to show me how it is done.

you and Ann patiently teaching me how to kayak and then spending a glorious few hours on your river paddling through the marshes with me.

Over the last few years we have had some very nice visits and some very long telephone conversations. Then when anyone said they know Joe Gryboski I could say “You know Joey – he’s my nephew and one of my best friends”.

I love you and will miss you so much - Love Aunt Florence

Dear Uncle Joe, Aunt Barbara, Kathy, Barbara, Ann, Ellie, Mary, and Tina

We are all so sorry to about the sudden loss of Joey. I am so greatful that I was able to recently spend a brief amount of time with him in Florida. He was still the same fun loving and caring guy I remember growing up. I feel lucky that I was able to watch him playing tinker toys at my Dad's house on the floor with Tyler and laughing the whole time. They were so busy building cars and all kinds of machines.
Our heart felt sympathy is with your entire family...the loss of a child, a brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in this very trying and sorrowful time.
With loving thoughts Denise and family
