Dear Steve, Laurie, Lisa, and Leslie,

Back in 1985, when I was one step away from walking down the aisle, I opened a very special gift at my bridal shower. In between the candle sticks and casseroles was the Wilson Farm Country Cookbook with this inscription from your mother...

Over the past 32 years, my life has seen many moves and many changes, but one thing I've held on to with an iron grip is that cookbook. It reminds me of a special time and a special connection. What a beautiful gift.

As for your father Whether he was trying to help get me up on water skis or get down Gunstock Mountain on snow skis, he always made me feel like part of the family.

I am so sad that I missed the opportunity to be there last fall to pay my respects to your mother and last week to pay my respects to your father, who (40 years ago!) made me feel like the fourth daughter. You were so lucky to have Charlotte and Lou as parents, and I was lucky to be a part of your family for a short time so long ago.

Now, with children and grandchildren of my own, I'm mindful of the small gestures that make a giant impact on others. And, as Charlotte advised, I try to enjoy life always and remember the Puopolo family fondly.

With deepest condolences,
Lorie King Rogers
