I had the pleasure of working with Bob for a number of years at A&T Ski Company.

My second year with the company Bob and I along with 4 reps. from the west and midwest were lucky to be chosen to tour the European factories that built the ski bindings and ski boots we were selling in the US. With the company president driving 7 of is spent a week touring in a VW bus visiting factories in Italy and France.

Our last night as a group was in Milan, Italy where our boss told us he had to return to Seattle but the six of us should split up and spend a week skiing.

As New Englanders, Bob and I paired up and the next afternoon took a overnight train to Innsbruck Austria where we rented a car and drove though a wild snowstorm, finally reaching St. Anton in the Austrian Alps late in the day.

Bob, the senior guy, was driving. He stuck the rental car in a snowbank, never to be seen again, we got out and started walking the streets of St.Anton looking for a place to stay. We finally found a ski instructor who rented rooms and had two available. 5 Days in St.Anton in a non stop blizzard with Bob O'Neill remains one of my fondest memories.

We remained friends for all the years after that. We always spent time catching up at the ski shows.

We have lost a really wonderful guy.
