Hi Erik, I'll never forget the night we met. From that moment on we connected immediately. We eventually fell in love. Remember how we would walk downtown holding hands? People would stare at us, but we didn't care. Yes there was an age difference, but that didn't matter to us. I was so proud to be your girlfriend. It wasn't easy for your dad to except me at first, but I'm grateful he did. You would always take pride in the way I looked. When we would go out together, you'd say to me, "put something nice on, look pretty for me." I did wear something nice for your service that you would like, I'm sure. There were many fun-filled nights of karaoke. You would look into my eyes and sing "Patience". That was your song to me. It was fun dressing up as Sally and Jack the Pumpkin King. I still can hear you say, "I am Jack The Pumpkin King!" I'll always remember the night you were lucky at winning the $10,000 on the Lucky Green lottery ticket. You took me to Cancun, then the following year to Aruba. What adventures we had together on those trips that I will always look back on . Those memories were the some of the happiest times in my life. You will be remembered as being honest, caring and a thoughtful man. You had a loving smile, which lit up my world every time you looked at me. I am sad you're not with me anymore. Yet I try not to think of sad times Erik, but focus on the happy times we shared. Your birthday was so much fun. Your family and friends shared that with you and will hold those memories close. The last time you were here with me, we sat here talking and shared some personal thoughts about life, and our moments as a couple. We laughed, joked, reminisced. I miss you, and loved you very much. I always will. I know you knew that too. I will hold your hand and won't let go...Remember the last time we held hands. ;) Be "patient" "dear." I will see you again someday.
