Leonard C. Wilcox, 89, of Natick died peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018 following a brief illness. He was born in Pittsfield on April 6, 1929 the son of the late Hugh Wilcox and Edytha (Jones) Wilcox. Leonard is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 63 years, Evelyn A. (Givone) Wilcox of Natick. Beloved father of Mark C. Wilcox and his wife Julie Wilcox of Medway and Chris L. Wilcox of Natick. Cherished grandfather of Patrick J. Wilcox and his wife Nicole Wilcox of Milford. Great-grandfather of Traiger M. Wilcox. Brother of the late Elton Wilcox and Marilyn Ball. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Leonard has been a lifelong resident of Natick and attended the Natick Schools. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country with honor as a Radar Specialist 3 during the Korean War and was on the U.S.S. Columbus. He retired after 35 years as a dedicated Machinist with Sage Laboratories in Natick. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather to his family whom he deeply cared for and enjoyed being with. He also loved animals, especially his cats. At the request of his family all services and interment in St. Patrick Cemetery in Natick will be private. In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Leonards memory may be sent to the Mass.
