I am so saddened by this news. What a loss. I knew Elaine at Traditions, where I visited my father Aubrey Fletcher, with whom she played Scrabble and bridge. I got a charge out of Elaine and her blunt comments on whatever crossed her mind -- blunt, wry, maybe "politically incorrect," but never mean. I only got to see Elaine a few times a year when I would drive up from Arlington, VA, but I always looked for her when I came. Her passing is a loss and I will miss her. -- Cameron Fletcher

I knew Elaine from Traditons. I saw her most days when I visited another person at traditions. She was wonderful, witty and vivacious.
She was a Proud Canadian indeed.
I thinks she would have liked the obituary you wrote for her, as it captured her spirit to a tee.
I will miss our conversations and laughs we shared.

So sorry for your loss. Elaine was a character. I knew her at traditions as I worked as a private aid. I enjoyed her wit and outlook on life. Such a great sense of humor. I will truly miss her. May she rest in peace.
