While I only knew Ely for 2 short years, I considered him a true friend. Always a smile, a story about a recent lacrosse or soccer match of his grandchildren and ever the expert on all things historical. Ely was truly both a gentleman and a gentle man and his talents were many.
To his family, I offer my heart filled condolences.
I will miss you Ely.

Mike and family....I was very sad to hear of the passing of your father. My family and I pass on our condolences and are thinking of you all during this difficult time.

Ely,

Rarely is a soul so well respected in both life and death.

I will miss you my friend, whom I could listen too, and learn from for endless hours. I will never forget that congenial smile, and gracious hospitality that you ways extended to everyone who had the pleasure of your presence.

Alway's a true gentleman, Alway's speaking of his children, and grandchildren with such pride. Even to those who didn't know them personally, your energy was felt, and they in turn were felt.

Your greatest accomplishment in life was that you touched those who knew you. No one could ask for more.
