Please accept our deepest sympathies. Sharon was a wonderful friend. We had the good fortune to visit Jerusalem while she was there one year and meet her friends there too. Jennifer Younger and Tom Smith, Madison WI

I can remember seeing Sharon's face in a crowd on the Via Dolorosa one Good Friday. Her trips to Jerusalem were much anticipated by myself as a child and indeed felt that she was one of the family and for the longest time part of our annual Easter family tradition. I am much saddened by her loss and my heart goes out to her family particularly her mother Joan.

I have known Sharon for more than 25 years now when she came for the first time to Jerusalem. Because of her charisma and loving nature, she quickly became the friend of every member of our big family; she was really a true friend. When I used to visit my daughter in the USA, she was always there at every christening of my daughter's kids; at one of my visits there, she invited me to her mother's house where I met the whole family and there also, it was a very special time for both. she always visited me at my house in Ramallah where I used to live, and we had always precious time together. At Al-Haq where she used to work, both my daughters worked there at that time, and the friendship ties were strengthened.
We were all shocked and saddened by her untimely passing and convey our deepest sympathy to Joan her mother and the other members of her family, and to Ron.

Sharon was a true friend of our family in Jerusalem. We have spent together many hours of leisurely exploration of the Land whenever she visited together with Ron Deiner or alone. Sharon was a positive plus to our entire family, children and grownups alike. She was very close to Hilda, my sister, and Maurice, my brother and also to Bernadette and her family. One of the years Sharon visited with her mother Joan and it was indeed fun to celebrate together with both of them the festivities of Easter in the Old City of Jerusalem. We are shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of Sharon. May she rest in the eternal peace of our Lord and may the faith in Resurrection sustain her mother and all those who love her dearly and who keep her blessed memory alive. Mary Bernard Hilda Maurice Bernadette and the Sabellas and Kattans of Jerusalem and Louisville Kentucky
