John - I remember your dad being around the SYC sports scene when we were grade-schoolers at Central.
A super-nice tribute, a life well-lived.

My condolences to the Gilmartin family. I went to Merrimack College with his son Joe Jr. I visited Scituate many times with Joe and remember Mr Gilmartin and his wife Jean with deep affection. The Gilmartin's were a warm, loving family.
May he rest in the lord's peace with Jean and Joe.

John and Jamie,
I am just learning of your dad's death, a month after. I wish I could have expressed my condolences in person.

Along with your brother Joe, I played baseball for your dad. He was great guy.
I'm sure he will be missed deeply.

Sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I had the pleasure of having him as a CYO baseball coach in the late '60s. May he rest in peace.
