Although I didn't personally know Mr. Sutherland, I do know that he left behind an incredible legacy in his work and through his wonderful family. So sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers for comfort during this time.

Marian ,I was very sad to hear of Bob's passing,I enjoyed many hours with him having conversations and stories of the sea and Boating.I know he is in a place where he can see all the oceans. He was a real Gentleman .My thougts and prayers are with the family . Fran LaBrecque

I worked with Bob at Quincy, and he briefly came down to Groton after Quincy closed as well.
I remember Bob as a very capable design chief, and an affable and engaging coworker. I am pleased he had such a long life after Quincy closed, and I hope that the memory of that long life gives you some comfort at his passing.
God bless Bob, and make him a sunny spot in heaven.
