I was in the same class with Doris at Tufts University. She was a sweet young woman who was kind and generous of spirit. So very sorry to hear about her passing . Her entire class of '65 at Bouve remembers her fondly. We were trying to organize an email letter so we could catch up after all these years. This is how I came upon her obituary. Know that Doris was a necessary part of our group.....we wouldn't have been the same without her.

We know the past years of her illness have been very hard for Doris and all of you, and we extend our heartfelt condolences. She was a wonderful friend to my folks, Ann and Lloyd Poland, and a very special person whose kindness and shared love of horses will be forever remembered. As my long-ago babysitter, I won't tell any tales of the mischief she allowed, but she was great with kids and we had lots of fun together. Her times at Green Acres were always enjoyed.

I am sure her spirit is somewhere with her horses, riding happily across the pastures, free at last. We mourn her passing and your loss, but hope the memories of her happiest days with her family, friends, and her animals will bring smiles to your hearts.
She was an amazing woman who faced adversity with great courage.

Our hearts are with you,
Daryl and Leslie (Poland) Boness

She will be missed. She took care of Dad for years when he also suffered for Alzheimer's. Her love of horses was evident from an early age. I have old movies transferred to DVD of her and Dawn at a horse show when they were in high school.
