Dear Lorraine, I have thought of you and John many times since I moved to Florida in Feb. 1996. I have many happy memories of John and the love he showed to my dog Rainbow. He was so kind and gentle with her. She loved him back, I know he knew it too. He saw her more than I did. His absence must leave a terrible void in all your hearts. I hope he finally sawed that tree limb down between our yards with the power saw I gave him. The limb aggravated him to no end. My brother Bob from Whitman said he saw you both at an airport one holiday I think it was but, he couldn't remember your names. John was so brave to serve in the three branches of the service. GOD COMFORT AND BLESS YOU ALL.

I was so sad to learn of Johnny's passing. I've known him since I was a little girl (my dad is Ralph Koelsch and my Grandpa was Leo Koelsch - Johnny's best friend and neighbor). Johnny actually wrote a very touching poem for my Grandpa's funeral many years back. He was a very nice and funny man. Condolences to the family (especially to Lorraine, who I remember being very friendly to me when I was a little girl). So sorry for your loss.
