Betsey,or Mrs. S. as I called her, took me under her wing at a difficult time in my life and, through her no-nonsence, straight forward Leadership, gave me the gift of friendship and a sense of value.
Starting at the bottom, mucking stalls at 13 and rising to the top competing in the Eastern States Dressage Competition at U Mass.,at 18, Mrs. S. gave me the gift of her time and dedication to a surreal and unimaginable end.
She made me who I have become and I will always be forever grateful.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy, Mac and Johnny.

Kate, Mac and Jonny.... Words cannot express my sorrow in hearing of your Mom's passing. She meant the world to me and my girls. Sending love, hugs and prayers at this difficult time. Love you all!

Betsey was our special friend for years...we called her Heather's Aunt Betsey from Boston as she accompanied us to Madison Square Garden and the Kentucky State Fair to cheer Heather on in Saddleseat Equitation. Sissy, the cutest pony ever, came to us via Betsey and family when Heather was all of four years old and Sissy, a grand thirty-three or four...she stayed with us for the rest of her life and left us for greener pastures at the ripe old age of forty-six.
Thank you, Betsey, for enriching our lives and for being a dear friend.
May you be at peace.

We lost our mothers, who were good neighbors for exactly 50 years, in the same week! Love and hugs to Kathy (who walked me to the school bus stop my first day of kindergarten), Mac, and Jonny (my bus stop friend). Sue Katz Miller and all the Katzes
